Dr. Heather Benz

Dr. Benz is the Associate Director of Clinical Research for Robotics & Digital Solutions, Johnson & Johnson MedTech. She was previously a Staff Fellow at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, where held positions in both the Center for Devices and Radiological Health and the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. She led research programs to accelerate patient access and improve study design for augmented- and virtual-reality devices, advanced neural prosthetics, and neurostimulators. Dr. Benz has also lectured for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Biomedical Engineering program. She received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
